St. Patrick’s Society of Selangor joined forces with students from Nottingham University to spruce up the village hall for the Orang Asli Community of Kachau Dalam, Semenyih. 30 volunteers equipped with paint, brushes, rollers etc, set off to work immediately refreshing the outside walls and creating murals of global sustainability goals and scenes from story books. As we worked the village children ran about offering their help and enjoying the O’Brien’s crisps and sandwiches. Many thanks to O’Brien’s for their sponsorship.
It was a great collaboration with the wonderful Nottingham students, and we hope to work together again to refurbish the upstairs of the community hall. So watch this space for updates…..
Once again thanks to everyone for their time and amazing hard work. You made a difference!
